Day 125: house project finally finished!

Yesterday, the last few paint touch-ups were completed, and this morning the awning guys installed the final awning. Ta da! Our exterior house repair and paint job is finally, officially 100 percent finished today. Of course, "it" is never finished with an older house, but for now we can get back to work on the yard and the veggie garden while enjoying the house’s cheery new facelift.

Thank you, k!

All my obsessing seems to have paid off (for now). You can't imagine how happy I was this morning to be awakened by the sounds of the awning installation guys, knowing it was the last thing to be done. That was not a very well crafted sentence, but you get the idea...

You chose your colors well. Everything goes together for a harmonious look. I can just imagine the spring cottage garden look with daffodils and iris everywhere.

The house exterior is totally charming, Iris and the colors look wonderful. I hope you're able to get out of contractor mode and enjoy the green, growing part of being homeowners once again.

Oh my! Even in winter's more subdued light your house simply shines.

How rewarding the sight must be. Perhaps you should stay over at your neighbor's houses as much as possible for a few days so YOU get to enjoy the view as they doubtless are.

Wow, Iris, what a change! I love your color combo of adding the chartreuse with the lavender. And the striped awnings are the best. It really shows up the silvertones in your front yard plantings, too. I look forward to your post once your purple blooms begin showing up against your house. Gorgeous!
