Husband Kurt will be working on repairing the original metal porch roof this weekend, including replacing the ragged edge with new stainless steel flashing. Painters’ to-do list starting Monday: paint trim (ivory) and window sash accent color (chartreuse), then doors and screen doors (deep bronze), then skirting. Then we'll figure out any loose ends. The end is in sight!

OH, Iris, I can't wait to see all your purple plants against that gorgeous house! I can imagine how happy you are to see the end of it all.
Thanks, Robin!
I am probably much too excited. And I really look forward to re-thinking some of the front and side yard xeriscaping--adding and subtracting, but definitely staying with lots of purple plants!
Oh my - if your house looks this lovely on a gray wintry day, just imagine how gorgeous it will look in the sunshine!
I can't wait to see how the contrasting colors of the trim will look against the newly painted house. Fun fun and more fun!
Just lovely, Iris - your goal is in sight!

It looks beautiful, and I can't wait to see it with the trim color.
